The 20th Annual Long Grove Apple Festival kicks off this weekend starting at 10am on September 28th and goes through September 30th at 6pm. Historical Long Grove will full of people celebrating the fall season with Apple donut eating contests, apple cider donuts, apple pies, caramel apple lattes, and baskets full of apples from local farmers!
Live music will be all three days at The Covered Bridge, Fountain Square, and Towner Green, including bluegrass, folk, country, rock, and jazz!
Bring the family out to enjoy all that Long Grove has to offer. The shops and restaurants will be open and offering apple delights. Children 12 and under are Free and adults are 5 dollars. Each paying adult receives a 5 dollar certificate to any Long Grove store. This is a great time to bring your camera out with you and start taking fall pictures with the changing of the leaves.
Historical Long Grove is a great place to visit. It is located just 35 miles northwest of Chicago, near Routes 53 and 83, north of Lake Cook Road. The charming village offers more than 60 shops, galleries, and restaurants that are lined along cobblestone streets and walkways.
