I received this from a past client last night, and my initial reaction is always to delete chain emails as I thought this one was at first, but I continued to read on.

We never know what tomorrow is going to bring and in this case Densey Cole a Chicago police officer didn’t know that he would never be able to walk again. His fiance and him are entered in a contest to win the ultimate wedding. I am sure the medical bills drained them of any budget they did have.

I spend so much time on a computer working I thought “What is a few extra minutes of my time to help a couple win their dream wedding, since it was taken away from them?”

On May 27, 2009, Densey Cole, a Chicago Police Officer out of the Morgan Park district, was paralyzed in a head-on collision while responding to a call. One of the main questions that a seller will ask an agent when looking to put their Long Grove home up for sale is how much commission do you charge to sell our home? This is individual per agent and company.

In order to do the things that I have listed, an agent has to be willing to spend money and as we all know, it takes money to make money.

There are many discount “Brokers” out in the market. My questions are:

If an agent is willing to work for nothing, then will they put there best foot forward during the listing process marketing your home?

What will happen when an offer comes in, will you be a priority to them?

Will they work hard to get you a good price, or just want to drop the price to get it sold?

It has been my experience that is what usually happens, the house does not sell, the sellers get upset and they have lost a lot of time

So when interviewing an agent, I hope this information will gives you some food for thought when trying to sell your Long Grove Home.

So many of the times when I post it is regarding national news or real estate. Today is Christmas Eve and I am spending the days with 3 of my amazing grandchildren and we are going out to lunch and a movie. That would be a perfect day for me. Cash for Clunkers or Houses

I just was listening to the evening news and there is a new program going to take effect to help the ailing appliance industry. The statics are showing the industry as a whole is down 15% so the government will be giving anyone who buys a new energy saving appliance a credit of up to $200 or a rebate.

I find this very interesting and I do agree that we need to do something to help Americans who are not making any money, however the bigger pictures is the housing industry. Based on a report that I was given $63,000 goes into the economy for every house sold. Of course that is over a period of years and includes taxes.

We must get the housing market going again and not just short sales or foreclosures, but middle America. We need a $15,000 tax credit to any buyer this next year. Please contact your Senators and Congressmen and ask for help with the housing market in terms of a credit for all buyers.
