Palatine Home Sales remain steady for Single Family Homes. Year to Date 209 homes have sold and although the sales are down 9.1% from this time last year, median sale prices are up 6.1%. Currently there are 272 Homes on the market as Palatine Real Estate continues to show recovery from a down housing market. Palatine Townhomes and Condos Sales are down 10.6%, this Year to Date 312 attached homes have sold and there are 367 homes currently on the market. The median sales price is down 25.6%, but this is due to the amount of short sales and foreclosures, current there are 100 on the market. Overall this is good news for buyers and sellers in Palatine. This is still a very affordable market for buyers who want to move into this desirable cook county suburb that feeds into Fremd High School. Whether you choose to buy a distressed property or not, homes prices in Palatine are still going to remain competitive. Sellers should be happy as we do continue to see positive numbers in Palatine.
